Welcome To The Friends!

The Friends are grateful that they have the opportunity to help enhance the quality of life for our community’s seniors through advocacy, support, and enriching activities. Thanks to the generosity of our members, it is possible for us to continue our mission, which is to provide services that help seniors live healthy, productive, and meaningful lives with dignity and security, as well as supporting some of the programs and projects of the Council on Aging. From health and wellness activities to advocacy and social trips, we support Brewster seniors in many aspects of their lives. Our flagship project, the Sea Captains’ Thrift Shop, offers a variety of gently used items, with all proceeds supporting our programs for Brewster’s seniors.

Please consider becoming a Friend! Your $15 annual membership helps other Brewster seniors while offering you the opportunity to make friends, keep updated with our newsletter, enjoy reduced costs on most events, and access a variety of activities! Imagine accomplishing all that for just four ($0.04) cents a day!

Fun Activities

Join us for Bocce or Pickleball!

Bocce meets every Monday during Summer and Fall at 4 PM at the COA Bocce Court.

Pickleball casually meets 1 PM in the afternoons or 7-10AM in the mornings at the pickleball courts located near Eddy School.

Sea Captains’ Thrift Shop

Our year-round Sea Captains’ Thrift Shop offers a variety of gently used items, with all proceeds supporting Friends of Brewster Seniors programs. From home furnishings to clothing, books, collectibles, home goods and seasonal items, all merchandise is offered at a minimal price and there is something for everyone.
